The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan is holding a Special Equivalence Examination for law graduates from foreign universities (SEE-Law). This is in line with the Supreme Court’s orders from March 6, 2018, and August 31, 2018, in the case “Pakistan Bar Council Vs Federation and others,” as well as the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) Legal Education Rules, 2015. Law graduates from foreign universities recognized by HEC/PBC must pass this exam before taking the Law Graduate Assessment Test (Law-GAT), which is needed to apply for enrollment as an advocate with the Bar Council. Law graduates from HEC/PBC recognized foreign universities can apply online.
